Is this program covered by insurance?

 

Typically insurance will cover office visits and lab tests for weight loss, obesity, and obesity related conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.

The cost of food, supplements, and vitamins are not generally covered by insurance and is your sole responsibility.

 

In some cases, a health savings account may be used to cover the cost of food and supplement costs, but you should check with your HSA regarding applicable rules and regulations.

Do I need a referral?

​

If you have a PPO, you do you not need a referral to come to our office for this program. 

 

If you have an HMO (such as Blue Care Network), you will need a referral from your primary care physician to see us for weight loss.

 

You may also have us reassigned as your primary care physician and we will be happy to address all of your medical needs.

 

If you have questions on whether your insurance will cover costs, your best option is to contact them directly.
